UuDam Tran Nguyen
Born 1971, in Kon Tum Province, Vietnam; lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam
UuDam Tran Nguyen’s multidisciplinary practice is focused on the ramifications of rapid sociopolitical development in Vietnam, especially in relation to power, identity politics, and technological innovation. Trained as a figurative sculptor, Nguyen earned BFAs from Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts University in 1994 and the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2001, and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2005.
