teamLab is an international art collective founded by Toshiyuki Inoko (born 1977, Tokushima, Japan) in 2001 and comprises an interdisciplinary group of artists, editors, programmers, engineers, mathematicians, architects, web and print graphic designers, and animators who strive to balance technology, art, and commerce. Individuals in the collective refer to themselves as “Ultra-technologists” who create artworks in a spatial dimension they have termed “Ultrasubjective Space.” They have shown extensively on a global scale, from the Japan Society in New York, to the National Museum of China in Beijing, to the Barbican Center in London.
