Hiraki Sawa’s surreal dream-like video works, often set in intimate interior settings, ruminate on issues of memory, displacement, and migration within the context of psychologically charged landscapes. Sawa was educated in London, where he earned a BA from the University of East London in 2000 and an MFA from the Slade School of Art, University College, London in 2003.
